Thread: Hello, a new shaver from Syracuse, New York

hello, I am looking to get into straight razor shaving. I told my girlfriend this and she bought be a razor form amazon for Christmas, it didn't turn out to be a good razor and it was very dull. however I am not discouraged i am now looking to buy a better razor, especially because i now have all to the accessories needed. I did have one question, is there anyone in CNY that can hone a blade (just for future reference). This is a great place and I have been reading a lot and it seems like a great community with a lot of good information, I am very happy to be a part of all of this.

so what did you get? i've seen some good razor available through there which is why i ask.

there are a couple members just over by rochester that offer honing services
