Thanked: 2Hello from Charleston, SC glad to be here
Hello all, glad to be here. I am new to classic wet shaving, and so far I am deeply hooked. I bought my first DE safety razor about a month ago, as I thought that would be a safe way to get started. I use a brush and soap for making lather. I really see myself getting into making things for myself. For instance, I've already made my own pre shave oil and have plans to make an after shave balm. But I think what really entices me about classic shaving is the sense of nostalgia for a time when a man was a man, and things were done by hand, the old fashioned way.
I will admit what drove me to the DE safety razor was the ridiculous prices of cartridges these days. So, I sort of stumbled upon this "new" way of doing things and I am so happy I did! My next move is definitely to get a straight razor soon. This is where I'd like to say thank you for all of the great information on and in this site. It's rare to come across these days. And the monthly give aways! What a great thing going on here. This is the first forum I've joined, because I feel this is the only one worthwhile.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
