    Welcome to SRP!

Shavettes are ok but they are not quite as comfortable to use as a traditional straight. YMMV

    Thanks!

Yeah I have gathered that from all the reports. I understand and I am entering into this knowing that whatever experience I will have, I fully expect it to be so much better with a traditional straight.

    Hi sharpy,

Let us welcome another Aussie to SRP!

Where in OZ are you? There are heaps of us Aussies to give you advice and later on help with SR advice and possibly honing etc.

Happy SR shaving! Oi, Oi, Oi!

The only balloon I practiced on was my face . Welcome sharpy, if you're near Brighton give me a holler. Be glad to help however I can.

    Thanks Mick.

I just ordered this soapTallow, Lanolin, & Kokum Butter Shaving Soap Tin

    IM hoping it is good...

And I got the "cheapest silver tip brush on Ebay" apparently ...

Should I also use a shave oil ? I purchased more oil from Total Shaving Solutions" which I used with my disposable cartridge. I really like it only use 3 drops per shave. Maybe our will be a good pre shave oil too ...

It was that oil purchase that led me to discover straight shaving and this forum...
