Thread: New from Iowa

Greetings! My name is Chris and I am from central Iowa. I had gotten tired of using cartridge razors, with all their waste and expense, and changed to a DE safety razor about a year ago. I have been using a Merkur Futur with a variety of blades from different manufacturers. I have gotten comfortable enough with it that I am now beginning my foray into straight razor shaving.

I look forward to learning as much as I can here and then becoming proficient with the blade. I am glad there is a forum like this to provide support and assistance.

I also look forward to getting to know all of you.
