I've been a DE shaver for 3 or 4 years and have become more and more curious about straights. So that's why I'm here. I do own a Feather RG and a pack of the ProGuard blades( I think I may need to try some other blades). I haven't used it in a long while and only managed at best, to get a SAS with some minor razor burn. I've read here that regular straights are more forgiving. I also own and have watched Lynn's DVD.
Probably my biggest question is: do shavers tend to tiptoe into straights or jump in with both feet?
Also, I've read somewhere that once you get good shaves with a straight you tend to give up DE. The gadget appeal of DE razors and blades are still high for me so I'm not ready to give them up.
But, do some of you straight razor shavers contine to use DEs as part of your regular razor rotation?

Thanks in advance and Hello!!
