Thanked: 5Hello from VA
Hi folks, I'm brand new to straight razor shaving and am long removed from any sort of 'real' shaving- I've lived the last 8 years or so on my mechanical razors trim function. But now I think it's finally time for me to adopt a less scruffy look. It'll likely still be a few weeks before my first straight razor shave as I am just beginning to pick up the things I need, but I'm looking forward to it (minor amounts of trepidation).

Welcome, you have come to the right place.
From their stillness came their non-action...Doing-nothing was accompanied by the feeling of satisfaction, anxieties and troubles find no place

Welcome to the forum. If there is anything we can do to assist, let us know!
He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.

Welcome to the forum mate. If you have minr trepidation before you have your gear, you just wait 'til you have your face lathered up and bring that razor up to your face. You're gonna have a whole heap of nerves right at that point. Sound like I'm speakin from experience?! Yes I am. And I'm still here to talk about it, having continued on shaving successfully with the cut-throats for some years now.
You'll be right mate, just remember take it slow, don't give away your clippers just yet, be patient and you will get there. It is a bit of a learning curve.
