Thread: Hello, my friends

Greetings from Apple Valley, CA!

My name is Max, and I'm new to the group. I've been bearded for many years, and when I finally cut off my beard only to find myself using canned shaving gel and disposable multi-blade razors (and constant razor bumps and irritation), I began looking for a better way. Now I'm here -- and I love wetshaving -- it's something I look forward to every day. I've been lurking around the forums for a while, and have already learned a lot from you guys, so thanks! I am very happy to have found this wonderful hobby and passionate community. As I learn the arts of straight razor shaving, stropping, honing, and prep, I will no doubt have some questions for you all, so thank you in advance. I usually shy away from forums due to how many trolls and just plain mean people tend to post, but I already know from all I have read here at the SRP that you all are a friendly, helpful, great group of people with a good sense of humor, and I already feel welcome! So thanks for having me -- I am looking forward to learning a lot here.
