Thanked: 0Hey der
Ok, so im a beginner. working with a best quality for now and trying to see where things go. i already went apeshit with buying blades and have a dovo BQ, a dovo flowing/grenadille, two piece of shit pakistani damascus razors, and a custom scaled and honed gold dollar which im in love with. i just started on friday and i think i may have already gone overboard but i will def. be a lifelong collector. thanks for reading and feel free to leave me any feedback. names bobby btw. thanks all.

Welcome to SRP and congratulations on the RAD
Depending on where you got the non Pakistani razors they may or may not be shave ready. I would send the ones that did not come truly shave ready out to be pro honed. The depth of knowledge available here is just amazing. As it's not clear how much shaving experience you have take a look at the beginner section in the wiki.
That's a good start on a 365 day rotation you got there.
Enjoy the learning curves.

Thanked: 0thanks jonathan. i appreciate all the embedded links :P i had a great shave on my first day, far exceeding my mach 3, but on day two i was in a hurry to get to work on time and i opened up a gash on my jawline about the length of the blade. now i make sure i have ample time, i go nice and easy, and give my shave the attention it deserves. no cuts since then and a close shave every time. ive started going cross grain and i think im picking everything up pretty fast. thank god for youtube hahaha.

Welcome to SRP!
Sorry to hear about the razor shaped items (fake razors), glad to hear about the real razors. shaving takes time. many folks fold that shaving in the evening allows them the freedom for a nice long relaxing shave that still will look fine the next afternoon.
when the nicks and cuts occurr try to skip shaving for a day or so, that way they heal much quicker.
feel free to ask questions and to post pictures of your gear--- we like pictures!
enjoy,
jim
