    Question Hello from the UK

    Hello All.

This is an excellent place for info, can you give me some advice?
Sorry for the poor photography, but of the two below, which would you choose for a beginner? (Who doesn't want to ruin either...)
    Thanks.

    Welcome to SRP!
Those are both beatiful razors which would be perfect for any shaver. If you are worried about ruining one while you are learning then you could consider buying a well honed ugly (cosmetically flawed) vintage razor as they tend to be cheaper. other than accidently dropping them and breaking the blade or smacking them into the tap (faucet) they are hard to actually ruin. in fact a trip to the faucet usually only means a good honing.
When you are starting out it is likely that you will ruin the edge but that is easily fixed.

so the question is which one do you want first?

    enjoy,
    jim

    Hello,

Thanks, yes they are - I like them both but think you're right, I'll probably get another to start with. I'd especially hate to make a mess of the Fisher as it's the only shaver I've owned that's a work of art
