Newbie From Southern Illinois
Hello All,
Just joined up. I have been getting shaves at barbers here and there for years and have been wanting to do this on my own for years.
So I have ordered a kit from SRD and am waiting for that to arrive. I also may be able to get one my Grandfathers old razors which I remember watching him use nightly.

Welcome to SRP!
Glad to see that you are off to a good start the kit SRD has will see you well down the road to a great shave. When you get the one from your grandfather post us some pictures it is always nice to have heirloom razors they just seem to work better.
enjoy,

Thanked: 247I live in central Illinois if you need any help with anything. Kinda depends on how far south you are.

And depending on how far south east you are, I am in the south western area of Indiana. You dont have to go to far to seek help. Let us know when your kit comes in. Lots of gents here with plenty of knowledge to share.
Welcome to forum!

Thanks for the welcome. I am actually about 1 hour southeast of St. Louis.
And bad news about my grandfathers razor. Apparently before he left us he wasn't trusted with sharp objects do they just got rid of his razors.
But good news my kit came and I have my first shave past me and only one little nick.
