I am just now trying to figure the DE thing out and hopefully I can get some help here and then someday progress to straight razor shaving. I have lurked for a long time but hope to learn a lot more. Thanks

Thanked: 275DE's are _easy_. Buy a vintage Gillette or a new EJ DE89 or Merkur 34C, and a blade-sampler package.
Start shaving, and remember to use _no pressure_ on the razor -- it's _not_ a cartridge!
Have fun --
