Thanked: 2New Member introduction
Hi,
I'm new in the community do I'ld like to introduce myself.
I'm good in the forties and coming from Belgium. I restart shaving like I was doing when I was eighteen. I was then using a LE GRELOT (Thiers) 11/16 but bought a John Pitt's on ebay as well as a Frederick Reynolds.
The blade of the Pitt's is an 13/16 and 6/8 for the otherone.
I like the Pitt's even if I cut myself sometime.
For the rest an normal guy trying to save some money on shaving. Gilette is very expensive.
Hope to learn a lot from you guys.
Take care whole of you.

Welcome!
Maybe you can meet with some of the other Belgians on this forum.

Welcome to SRP!
Don't worry you sound like most of us and will not be saving money anytime soon... those old le grelots are great shavers but then so can that reynolds be. i've never tried a pitts. please post pictures!
so do you still have your first razor?
when were your razors last honed?
did you hone them yourself?
and finally, have you noticed are sub forum for belgium, luxembourg and the netherlands? where you might find some fellow users near you, which does not mean you have to use that area but sometimes region specific area help with any language issues.
enjoy,

Thanked: 2Hi,
Yes I know about savinf money. By the way it's not the first reason. My soon was asking what was that knive. So I'd to explain him and shaved. Honestly it was not so bad for a restart after more than 25 year. Olso want to take a little bit more time for me and that a great opportunity (zen attitude). You'll find picture enclosed of the 2 first (Le Grelot & the Pitt's). The Reynolds no picture yet.
Will check on the link for the other belgian guys.
Tks.

Aloha Fred and welcome to SRP! Glad you are getting back into using straights. Those razors are two dandies I really like the shoulder less Pitts.
