Thread: New northern va member

Hi, I'm Scott and I'm straight razor addicted (fairly new). I think I started with straights because of the pure beauty of a real straight razor with a nice set of scales. Then, I discovered what a great shave I could get and I was hooked. I've got the shaving down but still work on the stopping and have not started honing my own yet. But I'll get there!looking forward to meeting fellow straight razor shavers.

Hi and Welcome Aboard Scott!! You won't find a better, cleaner, smoother shave than with a well honed and stropped straight razor! It takes what used to be a daily chore and turns it into a daily ritual, that you look forward to each and every day. The really cool thing is, you can have 1 razor, 1 strop, a brush, soap, and mug and STILL get the same awesome shave that someone else gets, with a 200 razor rotation and multiple strops, etc! Once you have the basics down, it's all just luxury from there!! Heck, with straight razor shaving, even the basics are a luxury compared to any other type!! Again, welcome.
