Thread: Noob from Sin City Nv.

Hello all,
I am Mike, and I Hale from Las Vegas Nevada. I found this forum while surfing my tapatalk for further information regarding straight razor shaving.

My story is a simple one. I do not currently own a SR, and have never given myself a SR shave. My very limited knowledge comes from the memories of my grandfather using his SR until he was forced to use an electric razor due to the blood thinners he was prescribed in his older age. My mother (his daughter wanted me to learn the art of SRS from him. Alas, my grandfather passed to the other side before I was old enough to have any thing to shave. His SR's were claimed by my uncle, the only male of four sibling, as should be his right to claim. Many decades have since passed.

Last year for Christmas a good busy of mine received a beautiful SR from a client, and an entire SR soap and such kit from his GF. It is an amazing and beautiful set up. Seeing his bounty , brought to the front memories of my grandfather, and inspired me to seek more knowledge and possibly get started in the SR life style.

Unfortunately, I soon saw the newest James Bond movie and so did millions of others. :-/

So, now that EVERYONE and their brothers wants to get into the game, I am not as unique as I thought I would be.

For the last severely weeks I have been lurking here, and finally got tired of not being able to post questions and or thank people for their ideas and opinions.
