Default DE Shaver for 6 yrs making the plunge

    Hi everyone,

I've been a DE shaver for the last 6yrs. Currently have a Gillette slim adjustable and an Edwin Jagger DE89 but I keep wanting to gravitate towards the straight shave as I kind of want to get cleaner shaves. I've read that with my condition, curly thick beard and sensitive skin, that a straight is a really nice way of shaving... more so than DE. However I realize there's a learning curve and it won't be good for a while but I'm ready.

I'm looking at the whipped Dog for a beginner straight and kit and lets see if I can keep my face

    Thanks.

Welcome to the forum DJ. You sound like you have done a bit of research, or possibly you just lucked in with your choice of a whippeddog for a cheap alternative for a first timer. Either way, a good start. Don't be afraid to ask any questions or for advice on how to. People here are always willing to help where they can.

Good thing as far as I'm concerned. I do the same thing. I become an expert in theory, before I become an expert in practice.
