In addition I purchased an extra-wide strop (also at a decent price so when I cut it up I won't feel so bad). A while ago I picked up a cheap VDH brush-and-soap set but because of my needs I plan to get some Proraso Shaving Soap for sensitive skin and Proraso makes a nice aftershave, both products get high marks on Amazon.
