Thread: Greetings from the Constitution State

I'm from Connecticut and have been obsessing with the notion of straight razor shaving for months and have finally decided to go for it. I'm 32 and have been cartridge shaving my whole life. I dabbled with an electric shaver, I used it for three weeks, and it's now collecting dust. I've never been satisfied with my shave or the process of shaving. I don't know a single person who employs this method of shaving, which makes it all the more appealing to me. I just wanted to say hello and thanks for all the great information I have already received from reading this forum.

It seems impossible to find SR's in any stores around here. The classifieds section of the site keeps drawing my attention. I'm thinking this may be a good place to look for my first SR.

The classifieds are a great resource for supplies, and the descriptions are trustworthy. If budget is an issue try whippeddog.com, however if budget is not so much of an issue then take a look at SRD, Vintage blades llc.

While you are resurching suppliers have a read through the begginers guide. Especialy the articles in this search.

Lots to learn but the rewards are worth it.
