Thread: Noob, From Electric to DE to Straight All In a Month.

Greetings all from Michigan, Just wanted to say Hi, I am new to all of this. I have been shaving with an electric razor for years but never liked it. I somehow saw a YouTube video from Geofatboy on DE razors last month and something just took off. I started buying new safety razors and fell in love with the whole experience. I then stumbled across this forum and have fell in love with straight razors. There is something about them that intrigues me. So I have been reading all I can and want to buy my first straight razor, just not sure what to get yet. I'm not one to join forums but this one seems to be different. This one seems to have a bunch of good gents that enjoy the hobby and are really willing to help others. I look forward to someday soon posting on SOTD. Thanks for a great forum.

Welcome! There is a good bit of chatting on the DE's as well as straights here on SRP. The folks here are extremely helpful and friendly. Before buying your first straight, search the razors to avoid thread and read FIRST; it will save you money, frustration, and ultimate heartache! Cheers!
