well i have been wet shaving for 3 or 4 years now with double edge safety razors i have about four to five gillette razors and a mekur. My favorite is the fatboy adjustable and my red tip. I have also been using a parker shavette to start into straight razor shaving, and now i have taken the plunge and ordered a thiers issard special c and strop from classicedge.com as it will come shave ready i am looking forword to my first shave with a true straight. I am like a kid waiting on christmas as i wait for my razor to arrive.

I have 2 of those TI razors, 6/8, and I love them. I rotate them, and about once a month give them a few laps on a Modular Paddle Strop from Lynn at SRD. I treat one of the felt pieces w/ Chromium oxide, or the .5 diamond spray, then follow that up with about 25-30 on the scrub leather, followed by about 50 on the Premium 1. And of course, I strop daily both before and after the shave. As I'm sure you'll find, those blades take and hold a great edge. Welcome aboard!
