Thread: New guy from Texas

Hello everyone! Just got my beginner's set from Loading... yesterday, got a Dovo 5/8 best quality razor, the Simpson b4 brush, 3" black strop, classic mug and unscented soap (they did a hell of a job making it unscented, I sniffed as hard as I could and didn't smell a thing!), though I'm interested in finding a nice fragrance. I attempted my very first straight razor shave a little while ago and it was definitely much more difficult than youtube and the internet made it look. I've never been much of a shaver anyway, even with disposables I would shave maybe twice a year, I have a very full beard that grows quickly and my neck would get irritated easily and this way seems like it will ultimately be much better anyway! Looking forward to learning the technique and lifestyle!
