    Default Good Morning and Hello

    Good Morning to the Forum,

Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I started using a Straight Razor about a week ago after reading a lot of different articles on the web. After following the advice here I bought my first razor. Day One was pretty rough - learned to slow down. After that I see it getting better and is actually the time I look forward to each morning. Without the help and advice here I am sure the learning curve would have been much steeper.

    Thanks to all -

    Kevin

Hey, Kevin. Welcome. You're in the right place - for great help and attitudes. My first was, ah ... rough. And colorful. That's why I'm called pinklather. The only thing I nicked more than my face was my (r.i.p) strop. I should say stropS.

Your profile doesn't say where you hail from but if you notice any experienced members in your area, I'd strongly suggest getting together with them. If there was a regional meet-up - even better. You can really speed up the learning curve by getting w/ other guys. 4 Guys have been to my place, tried some of my gear - got to feel the differences between steels, sizes, grinds without having to buy and sell a bunch. Its just one way we can be of help. 'Hope you enjoy the learning
