New face; old shave.
Hi everybody. New here. Well, I've lurked on and off for the last few years, but decided to dedicate more of my time to the hobby of straight razors this year- might as well include myself in the social forum scene while I'm at it. Increase my knowledge, maybe give a little as well, and hopefully make some connections too.
Been straight shaving for abt three years now. Love it. Love the history, the blades, the sense of accomplishment, and the looks of "you're crazy but that's awesome" when others find out.
My current razor rotation includes a 5/8 Dovo Special; 6/8 Dovo Bismark (red scales); an old restored W&B Bow; 15/16 W&B Celebrated; and my most recent acquisition, a 5/8 Engstrom Red Devil (original scales). Haven't quite gotten that one shave ready yet, but absolutely adore the curves on that smiling blade. I'll probably be posting a WTB for a Red Devil box in the near future too, as I think that's one of the coolest boxes ever.
Anyway, look forward to interacting w/ you all in the coming year(s). Thankx.
The ol' Devil after some 2000 grit and MAAS to remove some pitting and stains around the tang and spine. Blade is practically blemish free though.

Thanked: 983Welcome to the forum mate. Sounds like you're pretty well established and accomplished. Nice lines to that razor and how about posting a pic of that butterfly knife in the knife thread too .

Welcome to the forum.
That's a pretty sexy smile you have there
I'm probably similar to you, as I've been using a straight for over a year now but only decided to join SRP a couple of months ago.
Of course i had been lurking here the whole time gathering all the info needed in all aspects of shaving with 'and' maintaining a straight.
Cheers,
Paul
