Default Just a simple Okie diggin the Old School

I am just a simple, everyday family man who enjoys connecting with society and meeting new friends. I have an amazing, beautiful & understanding wife. My daughter Dharma Zia is the breath of my life. Originally from the 'Big, Wonderful' Wyoming, I grew up in Cheyenne, and moved to Ft. Collins Colorado after I graduated HS. I lived in Fayetteville Arkansas since and settled in Edmond Oklahoma in 2002. Pursuing a balance in modern living and technology with the true nature of living biotic and abiotic natural occurrences on our planet, I have studied Biology(major) and Geography(minor) at the University of Central Oklahoma since 2005 and graduated in 2009. I've worked as a temporary GPS/GIS Field Technician at the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality and continue to work at ODEQ as an Environmental Program Specialist in the Land Protection Division, Radiation Management. I enjoy plant identification and seed collecting as well as bird spotting and viewing other wildlife. I try to play Disc Golf, fish & camp as much as possible; however just chilling, homebrewing and throwing a few brews back with friends and neighbors is common lifestyle practice.
I have been inspired by straight razor shaving for the fact that they had it right the first time. As a man who sees a lot of landfills and scrap yards due to my job, I see that a numerous items thrown away and piled up to destroy the environment include a lot of disposable razors and crap barber-pole shaving cream cans. I was also inspired by the refurbishing techniques I came across from different websites such as Larry's Whipped Dog Straight Razor Shaving Equipment. Since I am new I have gone a little crazy at the antique stores and deals I've came across on ebay and other sites and now have quite a few blades to refurbish. Unfortunately, I am lacking knowledge, technique and wads of cash to spend on the tools needed to refurb a lot of my razors. Hopefully with the help of this awesome website that will change soon.

P.S. I resized your post for we whose eyes are less sharp than our razors.
