Newbie in Ottumwa, Iowa.
I've recently got interested in using a straight razor. I've been using the standard multi-blade razors and can't stand them anymore. I've not bought a straight razor yet but have been looking on the classifieds here.
I think once I've researched the forums and learned what I need to do I will love using a straight razor. Any advice on technique and equipment would be awesome. I'm a little overwhelmed on what all I will need. I don't know anyone using a straight razor and need a bit of guidance.

take the time to read the beginner's guide in the wiki as well as gssixguns blog for beginner's. the more resuearch you do the happier you will be when you finally start.
