Thread: New Guy in CT

What's going on SRP? I actually found this site while lurking on reddit.com/r/wicked_edge, and as I'm a forum junky AND a beginner, I figured I'd register here. I started straight shaving about a month ago and have had some mixed results. I'm about to do my 5th or 6th straight shave in an hour or so. The kit I have mostly came from Straight Razor Designs:
-Dovo Best Quality 5/8"
-2" black strop
-Van Der Hagen Deluxe set (soap/mug/badger brush/stand from Amazon)
-Nivea mens after shave balm
-Just received today, Castle Forbes pre-shave and GFT Lime Oil

I have a pretty coarse beard, and I think that's been my main issue with specifically shaving my neck.

Sounds like you are building yourself a nice quality setup there, that's a good way to help ease your passing into wet shaving and make it a comfortable and enjoyable experience. You'll be baby butt smooth before you know it.
