Greetings from San Diego
Hey All !
Started a few months ago with my Grandfathers old straight that I had re-done from Matt at the Sharpening shack here in SD.
I was hooked from the Start ! I had so many problems with irritation over the years I figured their had to be something that would work. A freshly honed straight was it ! NO problems anymore !
So now I'm hooked, I've been making some killer exotic scales (I work in the guitar manufacturing industry) and bringing them to Matt to pin and polish out the various vintage razors I pick up on the Bay.
He does a great Job and I couldn't thank him enough !
I will post photos soon.
I want to get a small get together of San Diego natives, maybe even just to meet for breakfast and talk and share razors etc. I'm in the North County area and figure we have GOT to be able to make something happen.
Thanks guys !

Welcome, sir!
Nice to see another Southern CA member on here! I love San Diego -- best breweries in the world and a gateway to some great deep-sea fishing. What do you do in the guitar-making industry? Sounds like a dream job.

My wife and I live about 3 miles from Stone Brewery. I think SD was legitimately named Beer snob capitol of the world about a year back. I like the tidal

Pleased to meet you. Sounds like you guys picked a great home -- I'd be at Stone right now with a Sublimely Self Righteous in hand. I love Carvin. This is my X100B with Legacy (V30's) cabs (there is a matching 4X12 that's not in the picture)...
...and I can't resist throwing this up here --
That's pretty genius making custom scales. Looking forward to pictures!
