Hello my name is John leberman I am a us army vet which is where I first learned about straight razor shaving. Sense then I have kinda fallen in love with it. Lucky me I found a barber in my neighborhood willing to give me a good shave for a little extra.. He normally uses plain safety razors I get the special of the straight. Just got my first set from my wife. I know they are not the best, it's a set she ordered because I like the movie and musical of sweeny Todd, so they are duplicates made of the original used for the movie .

Sorry but I don't think that razor will ever be a good shaver. The cheap sweeney Todd razor from eBay is considered to be a very poor razor. Not capable of shaving well.
Welcome to the forum. Have a look at some reputable sellers or the classifieds here. You can find a good razor and start to really learn the hobby.

Thanked: 2209Ditto to the above posters. Pick up a couple of vintage razors from the Classified Ads section here at SRP. They are a very good deal on proven, quality razors.

Is the set my wife got me. And I have plans to get a real good one but if nothing else they will be a decent addition to my sweeny collection.
