Thanked: 0New here and to straight razor shaving
Greetings all for Texas. After speaking with my brother-in-law he convinced me to take a foray into the straight razor shaving. He has facial hair like mine (thick, course, fast growing in multiple directions) and he swears that he has never had a better save. My grand father sent me his collection of shavers (including his dad's and granddad's) so step one is complete. Now i need to hone the blade (or find a fair place that will do it for an honest price, you guy's input would be great). As well as a decent brush, soap, strop and i need to replace the scales on one and completely restore another blade. So lots of work ahead of me before i can even start shaving.
i will say, this looks like a good place with helpful people in it.
