Default On top of the Mountain in NC.

From the top of the top of the mountain East of Asheville, North Carolina I send you a hello,

I am new to the Straight Razor so here I am to learn. Have been shaving with a DE for over 34 years and still have the same one I carried through the service.
I find in my old age (past the ½ century mark) I like slowing down and doing things with more focus, thus the Straight.

I have been making my own aftershave for a few years now and going through the ritual of the high step dance when I slip. I have a Grandson that loves to come in and talk to me while I shave. So when I miss with a Straight and splash on the old Aftershave I am sure everyone will hear the stomping of my feet. If ever you hear major crying I touched my handle bar (Moustache) with the straight.

If anyone has any pointers to keep from losing one half of the “Stache” I am all ears so far.

Thanks to all that responded to my intro.

Pfries - if I lost the Stache I am afraid i would cry, the last time I saw myself with out one was when I finished jump school in 78. So to play it on the safe side i figure that I will have to use the DE around it for some time.

Brewdaddy it sounds like we have the same look. I opened the old war chest the other day and saw a picture of myself with out the Stach and just shook my head. Grandson wanted to know who the boy in the picture was. On a quit note - thanks for doing your part.

Nipper I will be contacting you when I come off the mountain. I can use all the advice and help I can get.

    Thanks again guys

Mine came off for the first time in over 20 years, just so I could try it with the sraight. The wife and kids did not like it, its back now.
I look forward to seeing you around on the forum.
