Thread: Howdy from Missouri's Queen City

Hello everyone. I'm Adam, but you can call me Mayday. I got into Straights in November '12 and it has been fun. I have a Dovo Prima (black ebony and no engrave plate) and a Dovo Shavette. Tomorrow I will be getting in my 4/8 Norton and Lapping Stone. Wish me luck!

Welcome to the forum. Best of luck with your stone! The only Queen I know in MO, lives on the river, and sells drafts for 1.50 each. And yet, even if I only drank one beer, I'd leave 50 dollars more poor. Clever wench.

Thanks guys. I guess I did a good first time honing job. The only thing I had to rework was the stropping side of things. I got it even and sharp, but just had issues smoothing it out. 50 laps on the green + 30 on the loom + 50 on the leather did it!
