    Default DE shaver Turned Straight!

Hi Gents, just wanted to introduce myself to the forum members. I have been DE shaving for some time my favorite razor is a EJ89 with feather blades and a bulldog handle. I got 2 razors from Whipped Dog to start off a rotation and have a razor I bought in the wild that I want to hone myself. The plan is to make my own 7 day kit but of razors I really like. My favorite one is a Torrey 5/8 with white scales. I love the feedback.
I have like 3 or 4 small cuts on the left side of my face letting me know how much I suck with my eft hand. I'm not going to be deterred though because I remember the learning curve with the DE, not I'm practically a pro!
Hopefully the same will be said with the straight.

I still have to learn the sharpening / honing / stroping part and hopefully that will come to me swiftly.

Anyway, great forum I hope to learn and contribute!

    Thanks,
    Dave

Welcome ! Sounds like your enjoying the learning curve so far. I jumped right into straights myself and never looking back. I may have missed something by passing on a DE but no looking back now.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Hey Dave welcome to SRP! Gave up my DE myself about a month after getting my straight and sharpening supplies + strop. Although they are great razors and sooo much better than any cartridge razor you can buy, I still can't see my self using it again because I just love my straight so much I hope you have lot of fun with yours. You are in the right place to learn. enjoy!
