Thread: Hello from the DC area

I began this quest of straight razor shaving in December of 2012. I have browsed the site several times and found it helpful, and I dove in to become a member just a day ago. I wanted to begin straight razor shaving to help the bumps on my face go away. I am active duty in the Air Force, and so shaving is a part of the daily regimen. Shaving that often with a safety razor is horrendous, especially on my neck area. That stuff BURNS!! I enjoy the almost meditative state I go into when I shave this way. I'm not great at it, but I will continue. I do enjoy it, so hopefully with help, I will become even more manly and be able to achieve that ever so elusive BBS shave!
