Hello, I'm Andrew, and I live in Cambridge, MA. In January I bought a Dovo and a linnen/leather strop as part of a New Year's resolution to learn how to shave with a straight and spent three months getting somewhat poor shaves and giving myself razor burn trying to BBS with a straight. I picked up a shavette on Friday, and realized the problem wasn't technique but having a razor that wasn't sharp enough since the shavette got me BBS with no pressure, and no burn. This time I'm going to send the straight to a honemeister instead of the local cuttlery shop to sharpen, so my straight can do for me what my shavette accomplishes.
