Thread: Hello World

A few months ago, I decided to explore the world of shaving because Gillette Fusion and shave gel was so derivative and trite.
I soon saw that people still shaved with straight razors; which blew my mind. I had to jump on the bandwagon!

Unfortunately, the price was too much. With all the honing equipment, straights, strops, pastes, etc. It was too much. So for a while, I busied myself safety razors (DE). Although it satiated my thirst, I promised I would return to straights once I had money - and that I would at one point order a custom made razor especially for me (I'm just a jobless teenager). Currently, I shave with a stainless steel Tradere OC, Astra SP blades, an Art of Shaving badger brush, an Art of Shaving sandalwood soap, and sometimes the blue Proraso cream. So far, I've been using another forum I'm sure most of you are familiar with - Badger and Blade.

Yesterday, I chanced upon a Straight Razor at an antique store, which reignited my interests. I bought it and will be looking forward to using it (see my next post)
