Thanked: 0New Guy
Hey all! I've been a lurker for a while, doing recon for my first wet shave. Long story short, I went through the FAQ's and such, ordered a setup based around a Dovo best quality SR, and had my first shave tonight. While my as yet non-existant technique made for a less than BBS result, I managed to not cut or nick myself, resulting for a positive experience. Thanks to the SRP community for making my learning curve much shorter than it would have been otherwise!

Thanked: 0Thanks! The resources here are wonderful. I managed a complete shave WTG, and while it was easier than I thought it would be, Ill stick to one pass shaves for a while so as not need medical help for getting too eager

I did the same thing (sticking to WTG passes on my whole face for a while); however, I did just that...shaved the whole face instead of just shaving from the sideburns to jawline for a while. What I ended up with was a whole face full of razor burn for a week or two instead of just cheeks full of razor burn for a week or two. I thought I would learn faster. I think it might have extended the learning process with respect to angle and pressure because there are infinitely more angles and facets to worry about when doing the whole face. I'd just do the cheeks until you get a good shave with no razor burn WTG and XTG before I'd move on...just my two cents. Welcome.
