    Default hello there

hi my name is Oscar and I just purchased my very first straight razor (Dovo best quality half hollow) and I'm really looking forward to learn how to use it. I guess one of the main reasons for me to get a straight razor is that some of the few memories I have of my grandfather are looking at him shaving like a man and I don't want to forget that.

regarding myself, I'm a Mexican engineer living on San Diego, recently married, I love videogames specially computer FPSs. I'm the kind of guys who grows his beard for months and one day shave it for no reason, I started to believe I do it just to see the expression on my friends's faces.

Welcome to the 'Place' Oscar. Lots to read here but ask questions as needed.

Welcome! One thing I find useful about straight razors is that it's much easier to shave a beard. That could make your whims to shave easier to pull off, or you may likely find yourself enjoying the shave more often.

    Oscar,

    Another welcome to SRP!!

I guess I'm a little curious as to what a Mexican engineer is too? It may be obvious, but it seems to elude me, but I'm an old cuss!!

I try to keep up, sort of, with my grandsons on video games, not many, but, are you Dragonborn?

Good that you honor your Grandfather, me too, by using one of my Grandfather's razors.

    Best Regards,

    Howard
