Hello Everyone,

After years of using a multi-blade cartridge razors I finally got fed up with buying expensive replacement cartridges and decided to take the plunge with the straight razor. I've only done 3 shaves so far with my Boker Edelweiss but I thoroughly enjoyed it and think I will stick with this. No nicks yet and my face came out almost as smooth as it would have using a new cartridge so I'm encouraged that with practice things will get better. I haven't ventured into ATG yet and did have to use the cartridge to touch up a few hard to reach areas on my chin but I'm going slow and not pushing it. This forum has a wealth of information and really made the decision for me when deciding to switch to a straight.
