    Default Another newbie trying to ditch the cartridges

    Hi! I'm new to the world of straigh razor shaving, hoping to learn a lot from the experts on this forum.

    I dunno how much looking around the site you've done, but the best place to start learning is by following the "Library" link at the top of the site.

    Also, if you're looking for gear, check out the classifieds section or several of the vendors mentioned on the site (SRD, Classic Shaving, etc.). You can find good stuff for not much investment, and trust me, you WILL want more as your skill improves.

    Also, start with a professionally honed blade. You can find several quality choices under the "Member Services" section of the classifieds.

    Welcome, I am only on shave 4 but already I am improving, defiantly heed the advice to buy a shave ready razor, talk to the seller make sure it is what you want, there are usually some inexpensive starter Razors in the classifieds here. Enjoy.
