Thanks for the warm welcome.
I got a set including soap, mug, badger brush, strop and Pabst-Kohler Tramp razor.
Due to the razor arriving "shave ready", my first two attempts were painful -- lots of tugging. Like its said many times here, "shave-ready" doesn't necessarily mean ready to shave.
My revised plan is to get another that is actually ready to shave and a honing stone. The Tramp will be used to practice honing and the other will be used to learn to shave properly.
Also, I will definitely look through the honing section here.
As far as where I live, take I-35 to the a$$-end of America. Somewhere between the signs "Welcome to Laredo" and "Bienvenidos A Mexico" is my house. In about six years I'll be hoping to move to Kerrville.michaelcohen likes this.
