    Default New guy in Texas

    Howdy,

    new to this forum and new to straight razors. I have ordered a hart steel 6/8, satin finish, round point for my first razor. Looking forward to learning this skill/craft. Have not decided on a strop yet. (Any suggestions? Or places in the DFW area to shop them) I do plan on learning to hone my razor but I know that is not priority, I need to learn to shave with straight razor first. This is a great forum filled with lots of information.

    I have been here since late 2011,
    spent most of my time the first year reading the archives and library (and watching all the videos multiple times) and I still pick new stuff up almost daily.
