    Default Greetings from DC

    Well, just outside DC.

    I've been interested in straight razor shaving for several years, but have always been a little worried about trying. (When I told my wife about it, she gave me a look that asked if I was crazy.)

    I've been using a shaving brush and mug for several years since I like the way it feels. (I have no idea what the bristles are made of, as the brush was part of a shaving kit from my now-father-in-law.) I haven't been using actual shaving soap, since I ran out of what I had and have been unable to find more. (Though that problem looks to be solvable now.)

    I have more questions, but I will save those for the Beginners forum.
