Thread: Hello from Iowa

Hey all,

I have lurked long enough on SRP forums. It was high time to register and become active.

I recently started shaving with a straight razor after doing much research all over the internet. My first razor (not to be my last) is an Dovo Bismarck 6/8 with Ebony scales. I just think it is a thing of beauty. My wife won't yet watch me shave, but I secretly suspect that she thinks the nostalgia of a straight razor is pretty cool. She has started to "out" me as a wet shaver at gatherings.

I'm sure that I'll make many mistakes while learning and I'll be sure to post them all for your entertainment.
