Thanked: 0Hi from Kent, UK
Greetings
I am 21 who has 3 shaves under my belt, first shave was good, beginners luck but 2nd was bad and 3rd was a bit better.
I do believe its my shaving soap skills that are failing me here.
I got into straight razor simply because I worked out buying a straight for life will save you in the long run but that's not all because I was rather fond to my Japanese knives with my slowly collecting synthetic hones (I am stone crazy) it was about time I went straight.
And now thanks to that I have just dropped a load on a Belgian coticule bout which is rather nice with creamy, red and blue and a Ozuku San lv5+ which needs some serous work before I put my razor on it.
You all seem ever so friendly here so why not ask some silly questions and benefit from it.

Well welcome in from across the pond a bit.
Nice introduction by the way, as far as the AD disorders well.... they are abundant,
as a matter of fact I think we offer as much in the way of disorders as we do advice
None the less enjoy the journey (or for you as well as me the hobby), ask away, and share the experience. It is just Whisker Whacking
Relax and Enjoy!

Welcome to the SRP, you've certainly come to the very best forum if it's straight razor shaving is going to be your choice of weapon, I am also a big fan of Japanese knives, I've sold off most of my collection, but I'm slowly replacing them with vintage Japanese straight razors.

Thanked: 0Thanks all for the nice response. I shall have to have a go at Japanese razors in the future they look so scary and awesome.
Apart from my knife collection that's left is a mint Masamoto nikiri and a cheapy fujiwara guyuto in the kitchen that being abused by my mother which is fine by me as I get to sharpen more often.

Welcome to SRP; I have several Kent Brushes but not sure if they are made in Kent, UK? They are the softest and one of the highest quality brushes.
