Thanked: 0New guy from Houston
Hello all,
I'd actually wanted to learn how to shave with a straight razor for a good long while now, and I initially made a transitionary period by switching to a DE razor. I finally took the plunge and got some stuff together just recently. This community has helped me a lot as far as information and technique! I live in Northwest Houston if there's any meets happening in the Houston area!

Lovely razor in very good shape!
If you don't mind making a comment on your lather, by seeing the size of bubbles and how the lather is moving down on the bowl, it seems you are using too much water or maybe it is not a good quality soap.
Lather should always have very tiny bubbles, with a good creamy consistency yet holding a good quantity of water.Last edited by razorguy; 06-24-2013 at 05:55 AM.

Probably too much water, the soap is Proraso and I'm still working on my soap/water ratio.

Surely too much water. I use that soap sometimes and it usually makes a very good, creamy and stable lather.
