    Hello,

And, welcome to the forum!! Lots of good info here and members willing to help. A good look through our wiki and beginners tips will answer a lot of the questions you may have and probably answer some you don't have, yet. Both are linked below in my sig line. If you can't find the answer, just ask away and we'll try to answer it, or point you in the right direction.

Enjoy the forum, and glad to have you on board!!

    Regards,

    Howard

Congrats!! You'll enjoy the Dovo, they're nice shavers. I suggest trying the first shave without doing any stropping beforehand since it comes honed from a trusted source. Just wipe the oil off carefully with some tissue or a soft very short nap or no nap cloth being especially careful of the edge. It doesn't take much to compromise a good edge. Enjoy!!!

    And

    Regards,

    Howard

Got my Dovo yesterday and just finished my first SR shave moments ago. Me not being much on listening to instruction, I shaved my whole face a came out with only one tiny nick! Used some Maggard pre shave oil, followed by some lather that left something to be desired( practice makes perfect, I know). Anyway, one time was all it took. Hooked on SR's!

Thanks to everyone for all the great help and opinions! Keep up the good work!

Are you within driving distance of Kansas City? If so there are a bunch of straight razor guys in that area.
