Newbie Intro
North Carolina newbie here -- Just wanted to thank you guys for all the helpful info you give out around here. I bought a Parker Shavette about a week ago and loved it so much that I went ahead and bought a couple of real straights today: a Boker "Damascus Magnetic Steel" style and a BJ Eyre & Co./Late W. Greaves & Sons Sheffield razor. Both blades appear to be in pretty good shape (aside from a little discoloration), though the scales could probably stand to be replaced. I'm going to post them in the "Razors" forum for a little more info about them, but I just wanted to introduce myself and thank you all for your advice!

Welcome aboard, I live in NC too. There are a few of us around the Triangle area. Btw, from the pics, the scales look to be in good shape.
