For a while I debated whether I should post something or not. Given that my blog contains several posts that I've written in my role of administrator, I thought I should clear up some confusion that might arise from my silence. As of Jan 05, 2018, I have resigned from my administrative roles, and went back to being a regular member. The mentors invited me to join them, and I accepted that invitation.

A couple of weeks ago I posted an article about the power of words. The topic got started because of a remark about profanity, but was not about profanity itself. However, in the comments session we got into a discussion about profanity. Due to the fact it was a discussion, I didn’t have the opportunity to properly formulate the response the topic deserved. Recently someone asked for his account to be deleted. This usually happens if the account owner wants to leave, and wants to be noticed doing so. Kind of like slamming the door when you leave the room angry. It doesn't happen too often, but every now and again, we get this request. We never do so. There are a couple of reasons.

1. Sometimes people leave, and then come back. Deleting their account in between would be a hassle. And yes, this happens more often than you would think.
