Default and yet another beautiful Dirty Bird Scuttle

It arrived today and is beautiful.

It's the larger one and is a blue rim over a spice lower. Really great craftsmanship and great personalized service. I'll add to the thread after I use it tomorrow. I can't wait for some really hot lather. Hopefully, this shuts down my RAD for a while, or I may be living alone

Update -- Well, I used it for the first time today, and I was not disappointed! Different from what many do, I put a few chips of SRD bay rum shave soap in the scuttle after filling the bottom with very hot water. While I started the later in my usual cup, I then moved to the scuttle with the few soap chips in it, and started building the lather. The ridges in the bowl really made a difference as did the hot water in the base. A few minutes later, after the hot towel treatment for my face, I finished whipping up the lather and started to apply it. It was really quite pleasantly hot...not super hot, but hot enough to hold the heat while I was shaving (which I'm still very slow at, as newbie). When I refreshed some parts of my face, it was still warm and created a great experience and great shave. Kudos to Julie and the Dirty Bird folks!

That seems to be a nice scuttle you have there. What is the diameter of the inside bowl?

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

The Scuttle is all one piece. The inside diameter of top bowl, in which you build lather, is about 4 inches. The bottom part holds quite a bit of hot water...enough to keep the lather warm for even a slow shaving newbie like me.
