    Dovo ebony spike point
    Col conk amber shave soap
    Vintage black latigo strop with
    Poly web.
    Vintage blades 22mm badger brush

    Vintage Blades is where I purchased my first straight razor set too.

    When stropping if I raised off the spine a little bit well it be alright as long as I re strop correctly?

    Get some Cella soap for 10.00 and feel the difference, then you will have a kicken setup

    I got my first straight razor equipment from VB as well and remember the feeling of excitement when it arrived.

    I think so. As long as you didn't roll the sharp edge of the blade you should be just fine.

    Go slow at first when stropping to avoid those kinds of errors, though.

    Also, be careful with the spike point, it can cut you up in a jiffy! Try using the center of the edge to avoid that, but do be careful the point does not cut your ear when working on your cheeks. Good luck!
