That's just an old British illustration I put in there to hide the ugly Q-Tips inside - until I need a home for the 8th soap.
I thought it kind of created a nice link between the stainless steel arrangement and the nostalgic character of the rod and basket.

But hey, putting the soap labels in the lids is just my way of doing it.
Basically you can create your own little gallery with any motifs you like - the tins make a nice picture frame arrangement, too.

And if you got a metal surface in the bathroom anyway somewhere, that attracts magnets: You can put the tins right there, since they have magnets on the bottom.

That's a neat setup but my only question is why don't they all fall over like that. You have some anti-gravity device there or are you up in outer space?

I like it. Most important you like it. Thanks for sharing. I also have a small bathroom so I appreciate great examples of problem solving.

You did a great job with your solution to the problem. NICE!
I like the use of magnets and much of my rotation of straights is swung by their tails from little button magnets set into the underside of a shelf nearby.

What stops them falling if they are knocked? I have found stuff hung on magnets will fall off easily if there is only a small contact area.

I'm not quite sure, what you're referring to - the soap tins or the shaving equipment in the basket?

The tins come with magnets on the bottom and are placed on magnetic bars. That results in a very strong hold - they don't move a bit even if you touch them by accident. BTW: Originally designed for kitchen knives I wouldn't recommend these bars for razors, since the magnet bar is so strong, that it virtually pulls metal objects out of your hand at a distance of 1-2 inches. The blade / bevel could be damaged when hitting the metal.

The basket was designed to hang on that rod / hooks perfectly level - the wall behind it gives it support and holds it in place.

    Hope I answered your question.

I used the ¼" rare earth cylinder magnets. I have not had any of them fall either in my photo case or under my brush shelf above the sink. I keep the same pole of the magnet up on all the magnets in line and the blades stay apart when hanging.
